The paths we take in an urbanscape say a lot about how we interpret our environment, subsequently demonstrating our preferences. This interpretation may or may not match the original design intention. So it is important to analyze through observation, motion sensors, video or still images, and GIS data the choices people make in order to determine if the design is fulfilling its purpose.

For each architect 'purpose' is defined differently. Keeping the end-user in mind can help us create spaces that are more functional, desirable, comfortable, and simultaneously beautiful.

Walking shapes how we perceive our environment. The paths create a spatial narrative. Projects under this category emphasize this narrative and experiment with outcomes that arise from taking different directions.
